Project Description
Digital communicators
The idea of the DigiComs project is related to empowering young girls and women and providing an opportunity for inclusion in the labor market through developing their digital skills and competences. The project is realized by Impact Drive foundation, with the participation of experts from VIA CIVIC Association.
The first phase of the project was implemented with the financial support of the Bulgarian fund for women and ended in April 2019 with developing, testing and validating a business model of social entrepreneurship activity. It plans to train and young women between the ages of 18 and 35 to be digital communication experts. The participants, who complete the training successfully, gain access to civic organizations and NGO, who seek to hire experts to conduct their communication and develop their digital positioning.
Digital communicators take care of the organization’s digital profile and image, as well as its online presence. They are a key factor to increase trust, disseminate results, attract attention, create a community of supporters of the chosen causes. Often, civic organizations don’t have the capacity to conduct their information and publicity activities (including those in the online environment) with high quality and on time. Therefore, a convenient option is to hire digital communicators for a specific project or task.
The work on the first phase of the project included the creation of the training’s content, materials, creating a demo version of the training platform, testing it with real users, analyzing the results, preparing a financial plan.
